Mr. IDRIS ABDI YARE as an executive Director of SEDO who leads the day-to-day operations of the organization and oversees all aspects of client service delivery, contract negotiations, management, and provides strategic directions, Mr. IDRIS ABDI YARE holds a Master of Public Policy in Research Methodology and Design from the University of Phoenix, Department of Public Admiration, Arizona USA, also postgraduate Public Policy with Certificate in Research Methods (MACRM) from the University of Minnesota, USA, Bachelor science of Public administration from University of Phoenix, Arizona USA, Higher Diploma in Project Management at RCM College Nairobi Kenya.
Mr. IDRIS ABDI YARE has over 15 progressive years of programme development, monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning (MERL) experience in multi-sectorial development and humanitarian programmes, including contexts affected by natural disasters, conflicts, and displacement (Refugees, returnees and IDPs). Mr. IDRIS ABDI YARE is multi-skilled with expertise in programme design and development, MERL systems development and management, building capacity in addition to experience in donor reporting, grants, and compliance management with skills in budgetary preparation and financial management. Some of his salient achievements include; design of over 10 donor-funded projects, development of need-based monitoring and evaluation systems, strategy development for integrated emergency and development programmes, Leading teams in Research, Evaluations and Assessments to inform decisions; design of logical frameworks for award-winning proposals, based on well-thought-out Theory of Change models of programming, in addition to developing clear indicator tracking tables for effective performance measurements; and ensuring improved quality of reports sent to donors, based on results and compliance. He also has the expertise and demonstrated results in using qualitative and quantitative approaches of programme assessments and evaluations, with excellent data analysis skills, and application of community-based participatory research tools with gender lenses.
